Duplication Error rate

Maths - Sample 5 - Duplication error rate in fractals

Small errors in duplication processes can lead to huge differences as time goes by.
Check this sample where a fractal is suposed to be drawn with an iterative method. You can
modulate the rate of errors during the duplication of the information needed to keep the nice
looking shape of the fractal as iterations increase. As you can check, the shapes obtained start
to be very different as you reach the 15th iteration. Just compare the results with different
duplication error rates. You'll see that even with what seem to be very small percentages, the
result could quickly look quite different to the original version.
